Hi, I’m TJ, a service designer in Washington DC.

What is Service Design?
​Service design empowers public sector agencies to achieve three goals: mission effectiveness, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Service design redesigns services from the perspective of the user. Not by guessing what these users might want, but by truly co-creating relevant, effective and efficient services in collaboration with them.
Service design relies on practices developed in the social sciences, particularly the qualitative research methods honed in anthropology and sociology.
